Colin Brocka with Sonoran tiger salamander brachiate morph

We are delighted to congratulate Colin Brocka, MSc - on the successful defense of his Master's thesis on the ecology of the federally endangered Sonoran tiger salamander. Colin's research tells a story of a very unique amphibian, a threatened salamander in a desert grassland for which little is known. How does it navigate the terrestrial realm? Can it successfully move to other artificial livestock tanks for breeding? Does the current distribution of artificial water sources allow for metapopulation connectivity?   Read more about this fabulous and little-known subspecies and Colin's research:

Way to go Colin!!!
