An anonymous donor gifted the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences with $1 million to aid in local and international conservation research efforts led by SNRE's Dr. John Koprowski. The funds will be directed toward increasing international opportunities abroad and implementing community-based conservation strategies. These projects include continuing current work on species of concern such as river dolphins in Nepal and Andean bears in Columbia, as well as new research on declining populations of red pandas, tigers, and marmots.
